15th June 2007
Second outing for dtjc on the airwaves. This time he's exploring the world of the piano and all it entails. Audio edutainment from every corner of the musical storeroom.
About the episode
Take a seat, its time for this week's piano lesson. Beats are far between this week, its all about the keys. Piano music will fill your consciousness for the next 47 minutes.
Proof indeed that the imp will always bring you something different. We will not be pigeon holed, nor will we get you in a pigeon hold.
So please enjoy this installment and continue to have your horizons broadened. All of the songs are chosen with care and attention, the sole aim to bring you something you haven't heard before.
djtc:
"Most groups seem to miss the point of a piano, either tinkling away forgettably over the top of a tune or chugging out a rhythm part of a stadium ballad. But put it centre stage and play it subtley and attentively and it can sound as beautiful as some of the stuff in this podcast. You could almost say that simplicity and atmospherics were the piano's forte! sorry."
